Cottage Cheese Casserole with Apple and Cinnamon

Ingredients

  • Apple - ½ piece
  • Cottage cheese - 10.6 oz
  • Activated Baking Soda - ¼ teaspoon
  • Egg white - 2 pieces
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Ground Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
  • Semolina - 4 tablespoons
  • Vegetable Oil - ¼ teaspoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 392°F. Prepare a baking dish (preferably rectangular), line it with parchment paper, folding the edges over. Grease the paper with vegetable oil to make it easier to remove the casserole later.

Step 2

Mash the cottage cheese with a fork and add the baking soda. Cut the apple into cubes.

Step 3

Mix the eggs with salt and sweetener (if needed) and blend with a mixer. Pour into the cottage cheese.

Step 4

Add semolina and cinnamon to the cottage cheese with eggs. Mix with a spatula. Add the apple.

Step 5

Pour the batter into the prepared dish and place it in the oven for 30 minutes. If after 30 minutes the casserole is still not browned, you can increase the oven temperature and leave it for another 10 minutes.

Step 6

Remove the dish from the oven, pull the casserole out by the edges of the parchment. Let it cool preferably on a rack to avoid excess condensation. After it has completely cooled, refrigerate overnight, then cut into portions.
