Description
Cottage Cheese Casserole with Apples and Raisins from Childhood
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese - 17.6 oz
- Egg white - 3 pieces
- Semolina - 5 tablespoons
- Sugar - 3 tablespoons
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Apple - 3 pieces
- Vanilla salt - to taste
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Light Raisins, Seedless - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
Step 2
Peel the apples and remove the cores, cutting them into small cubes or slices.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 4
Grease the baking dish with butter (about 0.5 tablespoons will be used).
Step 5
Mix all the ingredients (except the egg whites) together (the order does not matter); cut the butter into small cubes, and it should be at room temperature.
Step 6
Whip the egg whites separately until soft peaks form (you can add a pinch of salt) (do not skip whipping them separately and to peaks, this will make the casserole airy).
Step 7
Carefully fold the whipped egg whites into the main mixture.
Step 8
Pour into the baking dish and place in the oven.
Step 9
Bake for 40–45 minutes until a crust forms.
