Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
- Ghee - 1.8 oz
- Semi-soft cream cheese - 10.6 oz
- Wheat Flour - 7 teaspoons
- Salt - a pinch
- Powdered Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Marinated cherries - 15 pieces
- Activated Baking Soda - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Crack 2 eggs into a glass bowl, add a pinch of salt, and whisk until smooth. Pour in the melted butter, then add one pack of low-fat cottage cheese (about 180 g), and mix with a whisk. Next, add 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Gradually incorporate the flour into the mixture and knead the dough. Place it in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes.
Step 2
For the filling, mash a pack of low-fat cottage cheese with the remaining egg and powdered sugar using a fork until you achieve a smooth consistency. Place it in the refrigerator.
Step 3
First, remove the pits from the cherries.
Step 4
Lightly roll out the cottage cheese dough and place it in a baking dish, leaving small edges (2–3 cm). Bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 356°F (the dough should not brown or become golden). Remove the dough from the oven and spread the cottage cheese filling on top, followed by the cherries. Cut the remaining dough into small strips and lay them over the cherries. Return to the oven for 20–25 minutes, until a golden crust forms.
Step 5
Before serving, allow the pie to cool and dust it with powdered sugar.
