Description
Instead of a mold, you can use any elongated container with holes at the bottom to allow the whey to drain.
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese - 17.6 oz
- Sugar - ½ cup
- Vanillin - 0 oz
- 20% Sour Cream - ½ cup
- Raisins - ½ cup
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Chopped almonds - ½ cup
- Candied fruits - ½ cup
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Crush the nuts, but not too finely.
Step 2
Chop the candied fruits into pieces.
Step 3
Soak the raisins in boiling water for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Drain the water, squeeze out excess moisture, and dry with a towel.
Step 5
Pass the cottage cheese through a fine sieve or grind it to make it airy.
Step 6
Mix the sour cream with vanillin and sugar (until the sugar dissolves).
Step 7
Add the resulting mixture and softened butter to the cottage cheese. Mix everything together.
Step 8
Add the candied fruits, nuts, and raisins to the cottage cheese mixture.
Step 9
Place the mold for the Easter dessert on a plate, line it with cheesecloth, and fill it with the cottage cheese mixture.
Step 10
Carefully fold the remaining edges of the cheesecloth over the mixture, press down with a weight (the weight should be 3–4 kg), and leave in a cool place for 12 hours.
Step 11
Periodically drain the whey from the plate.
Step 12
Remove the weight and place the Easter dessert in the refrigerator overnight.
Step 13
Remove the finished Easter dessert from the mold, take off the cheesecloth, and decorate as desired.
