Cottage Cheese Jelly with Cinnamon

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese - 7.1 oz
  • Gelatin - 0.4 oz
  • Natural Yogurt - 4.4 oz
  • Honey - 3 tablespoons
  • Egg white - 2 pieces
  • Meyer Lemon Juice - 2 fl oz
  • Cinnamon - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Mix lemon juice with 75 ml of water and dissolve the gelatin in it. Let the gelatin swell. Then heat the mixture until the gelatin is completely dissolved and cool it.

Step 2

Combine cottage cheese with yogurt and honey to form a smooth mixture. You can add various spices and salt. For example, I really like cinnamon.

Step 3

When the gelatin is not hot but slightly warm, pour it into the cottage cheese mixture and mix very well. If you don't do this, the jelly won't set evenly.

Step 4

Meanwhile, whip the egg whites with a pinch of salt until foamy. Gently fold them into the other ingredients and mix, but do not beat.

Step 5

Take a mold of the desired size and pour our jelly into it. Optionally, you can layer fruits or cookies at the bottom to make the dessert look like a cake. Top it with shredded coconut or jam.

Step 6

Once everything is prepared, the dish should be placed in the refrigerator for a few hours, preferably overnight. Enjoy your meal!
