Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 8.5 oz
- Cottage cheese - 14.1 oz
- Sugar - 2.8 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Saffron - 0 oz
- Orange zest - 1 piece
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Knead 200 g of flour with softened butter, add salt. Add a few tablespoons of warm water. Knead the dough. Wrap it in parchment paper and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 2
Mash the cottage cheese with sugar, eggs, the remaining flour, and saffron. Add finely grated zest of the orange and lemon. Mix everything thoroughly.
Step 3
Roll out the dough thinly, cut out several circles with a diameter of 10 cm. Place a spoonful of cottage cheese evenly on each, raise the edges and secure in several places. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet, arrange the pastries, and bake at 392°F for about 20 minutes.
Step 4
Spray the finished pastries with cold water and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
