Description

You can use other berries and fruits instead of plums, even frozen ones. Instead of flour, use quick-cooking oats. Nuts, such as almonds, can be sprinkled on top according to your mood. It's also permissible to experiment with the brightness of flavor and aroma: add almond essence to the dough and vanilla to the cottage cheese.

Ingredients

  • Sugar - 1 glass
  • Butter - 3.5 oz
  • Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
  • Semi-soft cream cheese - 8.8 oz
  • Plums - 7.1 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 1½ glasses
  • Baking Powder - 0.4 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Beat the softened butter with sugar, then add the baking powder and flour (the dough will be crumbly, like breadcrumbs).

Step 2

For the filling, beat 0.5 cups of sugar with 2 eggs using a mixer, then add the cottage cheese. Whip until you achieve a smooth and fluffy mixture. If the cottage cheese has lumps, blend it with a blender until it reaches a creamy consistency.

Step 3

Pour half of the batter into a baking dish (20–25 cm in diameter), evenly spread the cottage cheese filling on top, then add the berries and gently press them into the cheese mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining half of the batter.

Step 4

Bake at 356°F for about 25 minutes, until golden brown.
