Ingredients
- Cottage cheese - 17.6 oz
- Margarine - 17.6 oz
- Wheat Flour - 3½ cups
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
- Sugar - to taste
- Apple - 2½ pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grate the margarine.
Step 2
Mix with the other ingredients (use only 3 cups of flour — the rest is for kneading). The dough will be quite stiff but elastic.
Step 3
Peel and chop the apples into small cubes — the smaller, the better.
Step 4
Now pinch off small pieces of dough and roll them into a flat round about the size of a saucer and 3–4 mm thick.
Step 5
Sprinkle half of this flatbread with sugar to taste — according to preference.
Step 6
Fold the flatbread in half and sprinkle sugar and the chopped apples on half of this half.
Step 7
Fold it in half again and make cuts through the corner, about 1 cm long, then sprinkle with sugar on top again.
Step 8
Bake at 356°F for about 25–30 minutes.
