- Butter - 4.2 oz
- Sugar - 4.2 oz
- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
- Vanilla salt - 0.5 oz
- Cranberry - 5.3 oz
- Baking Powder - 0.2 oz
- Crabapples - 2 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Leave the butter at room temperature until softened, then beat until fluffy. Add sugar and beat well again.
Step 2
Crack one egg and mix. For the remaining eggs, separate the yolks from the whites and add the yolks to the batter.
Step 3
Sift the flour together with the baking powder into the same bowl and mix the batter until smooth.
Step 4
Wash the cranberries, dry them, and add them to the batter. Try to mix gently so that the berries remain whole.
Step 5
Grease a baking dish (preferably rectangular) with butter and pour in the batter.
Step 6
Peel the apples and cut them into wedges, then coat them in vanilla sugar. Arrange the apples on top of the cake. Sprinkle the remaining sugar over the apples.
Step 7
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about an hour until golden brown.
