Ingredients
- Lean Beef - 28.2 oz
- Olive Oil - to taste
- Spanish onions - 1 head
- Malt Vinegar - ½ teaspoon
- Gherkins - 2 pieces
- Sesame bun - 4 pieces
- Bacon - 8 slices
- Mustard Greens - 4 teaspoons
- TABASCO® - 2 teaspoons
- Cheese Spread - 2.8 oz
- Ketchup - 5½ teaspoons
- Iceberg Lettuce - ¼ head
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Worcestershire Sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Brandy - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal parts and shape into round patties slightly larger than the buns. Place on a plate greased with olive oil and refrigerate. Thinly slice the onion into rings, place in a bowl, drizzle with vinegar, and add salt. Chop the gherkins and buns. Finely chop the lettuce leaves and mix with the other sauce ingredients in a bowl, adding salt to taste.
Step 2
Heat 2 pans over the fire. Fry 2 patties in oil over high heat for 1 minute on each side. Don't forget to salt the patties. Brush the fried side with ½ teaspoon of mustard and TABASCO sauce, then flip and fry the sauced side. Meanwhile, fry the bacon in the other pan over medium heat. Place the bacon on the fried patty, then top with cheese. Pour a little water (1-2 tablespoons) into the pan and cover to melt the cheese. Toast the bun halves in the bacon pan until golden. Repeat with the remaining 2 patties.
Step 3
Assemble the burgers. Spread a quarter of the sauce on the bottom bun, place the patty with cheese and bacon on top, followed by a quarter of the onion and gherkin. Spread a teaspoon of ketchup on the top bun and press down on the assembled burger.
Step 4
Let the burger soak in the sauce and serve. Enjoy your meal!
