Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour - 9 tablespoons
  • Large eggs - 3 pieces
  • Sugar - ½ cup
  • Cottage cheese - 8.8 oz
  • Powdered Sugar - 16 teaspoons
  • Vanillin - 2 teaspoons
  • Malt Vinegar - 3 teaspoons
  • Activated Baking Soda - 0.3 teaspoons
  • Safflower Oil - 1 tablespoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

First, prepare the ingredients. Whisk the eggs with sugar until the foam increases fivefold.

Step 2

Add the flour and mix with a mixer. Then add the baking soda, which has been neutralized with vinegar.

Step 3

This will be the batter for the cake layer. Take a cast-iron skillet and pour in the oil. Brush it along the edges and the bottom of the skillet. Pour the batter into the skillet.

Step 4

Place the skillet in the oven at a temperature of 150–356°F for 25 minutes.

Step 5

Meanwhile, make the cream. Take the powdered sugar, cottage cheese, and vanillin, and whisk with a mixer until smooth. Optionally, you can add cocoa.

Step 6

Once the cake layer is baked, let it rest for 20 minutes to cool. Store the cream in the refrigerator.

Step 7

Take the cake layer and place a plate on top. Trim any excess. Cut the cake layer in half lengthwise.

Step 8

Divide the cream into three parts. Spread one part of the cream on the bottom layer. Mix the crumbs from the trimming with one part of the cream and spread it on the bottom layer. Cover with the top layer and spread the remaining cream on the top of the cake.

Step 9

Optionally, sprinkle the cake with nuts or sprinkles. Let the cake rest for 1 hour.
