Serve as a New Year's dessert in individual molds, garnished to taste.
Ingredients
- Egg white - 2 pieces
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Milk - 7 fl oz
- Corn Starch - 2.1 oz
- Sugar - 0.6 cup
- Plums - 17.6 oz
- Cream (40%) - 3 fl oz
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Wheat Flour - 4 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 410°F.
Step 2
Wash the plums well, carefully cut each in half, and remove the pits.
Step 3
In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter, add the plums, and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Sauté for 5 minutes until the plums caramelize. Transfer to a plate.
Step 4
Grease several small baking molds or one large one with butter. Lightly sprinkle with sugar.
Step 5
In a bowl, mix the cold milk with cornstarch and flour.
Step 6
In another bowl, beat the eggs and yolk, then add the remaining sugar and mix well. Then add the cream and mix again.
Step 7
Combine the milk with the egg mixture.
Step 8
Place the plums in the molds, skin side down. Pour the batter over the top and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until done.
Step 9
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sugar on top. Serve warm.
