Description
* Instead of honey, you can use melted chocolate or maple syrup (not typical for Turkish cuisine) * Instead of coconut flakes, you can use nut crumbs * Need I say that kids love this dessert, especially since they can make it together with their parents
Ingredients
- Bananas - 4 pieces
- Kataifi dough - 7.1 oz
- Coconut flakes - 4 tablespoons
- Nutmeg - to taste
- Ground Cinnamon - to taste
- Fresh Mint - to taste
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Citrus Zest Mix - to taste
- Honey - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel each banana and cut it in half
Step 2
Dip the bananas in slightly acidic cold water. Pour the coconut flakes onto a flat plate. Roll each banana piece in the flakes on all sides. Then wrap the pieces with strands of kadayıf dough.
Step 3
In a skillet, heat a little vegetable and butter (or clarified butter). Fry the bananas in the dough on all sides until golden brown. Place the finished bananas on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
Step 4
Then place the bananas on a plate, sprinkle with ground cinnamon, zest, and grate nutmeg over the bananas. Garnish with mint leaves and drizzle with honey.
