- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- English Dry Mustard - a pinch
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Cheshire Cheese - 5.3 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 392°F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, salt, pepper, and mustard. Add the finely chopped butter and mix well until the mixture resembles crumbs. Add the grated cheese and 2 egg yolks. Mix well.
Step 3
On a floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of 5 mm. Cut into rectangles measuring 2x10 cm. Place on the baking sheets. Lightly beat the egg whites and brush the crackers on top. Bake for 7-8 minutes until golden brown. Transfer to a rack and cool.
