Ingredients
- Butter - 7.1 oz
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Black Pomegranate Molasses - ¼ cup
- Wheat Flour - 2 cups
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Activated Baking Soda - 2 teaspoons
- Ground Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Grated Ginger Root - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Grease a baking sheet with butter.
Step 2
In a bowl, beat the softened butter with sugar until creamy. Add the lightly beaten egg, then the molasses, and mix well again.
Step 3
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and ginger.
Step 4
Combine both mixtures and knead the dough well.
Step 5
Shape the dough into balls the size of walnuts and lightly roll one side in sugar.
Step 6
Place the balls, sugar side up, on the baking sheet, about 5 cm apart.
Step 7
Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the cookies are flat and crispy. Cool on a wire rack.
