Description
Crumble with nectarines and ginger
Ingredients
- Nectarines - 2 pieces
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Grated Ginger Root - ¼ teaspoon
- Corn Starch - 1 teaspoon
- Muesli - 2.5 oz
- Wheat Flour - 0.5 oz
- Brown Sugar - 0.5 oz
- Butter - 0.9 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Peel the ripe nectarines and remove the pits, cutting them into large pieces. If the skin is hard to remove, make a lengthwise cut around the fruit's axis and dip it in boiling water for half a minute. Drain in a colander, cool, and remove the skin. Remove the pits and chop.
Step 3
In a bowl, mix the nectarines, grated ginger, sugar, and cornstarch. Stir well and let sit until the fruit releases its juice.
Step 4
In another bowl, combine the muesli, flour, brown sugar, and warm butter. Mix with your hands until the butter evenly coats the dry ingredients. The mixture will resemble coarse crumbs.
Step 5
Spread the nectarine filling in the bottom of a baking dish. Sprinkle the crumble mixture on top. Place in the oven for 30 minutes and bake until the fruit starts to bubble. Remove from the oven and cool on a rack.
Step 6
Serve hot or warm with a scoop of pistachio ice cream.
