Description
To prevent the berries from 'leaking', you can sprinkle the rolled-out dough with crushed dry cookies or oatmeal before baking. You can also use any seasonal berries - strawberries, cherries, raspberries, and other berries that pair well with cottage cheese are suitable for this recipe.
Ingredients
- Butter - 2.8 oz
- Egg - 1 piece
- Oatmeal - 1.8 oz
- Whole Wheat Flour - 5.6 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
- Brandy - 0 fl oz
- Cottage cheese - 10.6 oz
- Blueberries - 3.5 oz
- Dark Chocolate - 2.1 oz
- Ground Cinnamon - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the softened butter with the egg.
Step 2
Mix in the oatmeal, sifted flour with baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Add a drop of brandy, vodka, or cognac. Gather a soft, manageable dough.
Step 3
Roll the dough into a circle with a diameter of 25-30 cm (better to do this on floured parchment paper), while preheating the oven to 180-374°F.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, prepare the filling: mix the sieved cottage cheese, chopped chocolate, and washed dry berries into a uniform mass. Optionally, you can add 30-50 grams of aromatic raw sugar (or regular granulated sugar) and flavor it with cinnamon.
Step 5
Place the filling in the center of the dough (leaving a 4-7 cm border) and form the edges of the pie by folding the free edge towards the center. Brush the surface of the dough with the beaten egg.
Step 6
Transfer the pie to a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes. Then cool at room temperature and cut into portioned pieces. An ideal accompaniment would be whipped cream or sour cream with jam.
