Early Summer Rhubarb Pie
Ingredients
- Sugar - 1½ cups
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Vanillin - 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour - 2 cups
- Salt - ¼ teaspoon
- Kefir - 8 fl oz
- Activated Baking Soda - 0 oz
- Rhubarb - 8.8 oz
- Ground Cinnamon - 1 tablespoon
- Brown Sugar - 1 cup
- Butter - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar. Add the egg and beat again.
Step 2
In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the sifted ingredients alternately with the kefir to the butter mixture.
Step 3
Mix the rhubarb with 1 tablespoon of flour and add it to the batter. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish or one lined with parchment paper, and smooth the top.
Step 4
Mix 50 g of butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar, and evenly sprinkle it on top.
Step 5
Bake at 356°F for 45 minutes.
