Ingredients

  • Lemon - 1 piece
  • Egg white - 3 pieces
  • Sugar - 7.1 oz
  • Ground Almonds - 5.3 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 275°F.

Step 2

In a large bowl, use a mixer to beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Add the grated lemon zest, then gently fold in the sugar and almonds.

Step 3

Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly grease it with a small amount of vegetable oil. Drop the batter by teaspoonfuls onto the sheet, leaving 3–4 cm between each macaron.

Step 4

Bake for 20–30 minutes until they are firm and golden. Let cool for 5–10 minutes, then remove from the foil.
