Easter Chocolate Pastries

Ingredients

  • Brown Sugar - 2 cups
  • Butter - 8.5 oz
  • Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
  • Ground Coffee - 1 tablespoon
  • Cocoa Powder - ¾ cup
  • Salt - ¼ teaspoon
  • Matzah - 1 cup
  • Chopped almonds - ½ cup

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 356°F. Grease a rectangular baking dish, approximately 17x22 cm.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix the softened butter and sugar. Then add the eggs, coffee, cocoa, salt, and ground matzah. Mix well and add the walnuts. Stir again thoroughly.

Step 3

Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 25 minutes (do not overbake; the outside should be firm, but the inside should remain soft). Cool in the dish. Cut into squares or segments and serve on a plate.
