Description
Easter Kulich with Meringue
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 5 lbs
- Chocolate eggs - 15 pieces
- Butter - 24.7 oz
- Sugar - 2 lbs
- Raisins - 17.6 oz
- Safflower Oil - 5 fl oz
- Milk - 23 fl oz
- Dry yeast - 7.1 oz
- Vanillin - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Crush the yeast with sugar; add warm milk and 150 grams of flour. To make the dough soft, place it in a warm place to ferment for 2 hours. Do not add salt to the sponge.
Step 2
Separate the yolks from the whites.
Step 3
Beat the yolks and whites separately with sugar; leave a little of the whites for the meringue to glaze the kulich.
Step 4
Pour everything into the sponge and beat well with a mixer. Wash the raisins, dry them (you can roll them in flour) and add them to the dough. Knead everything well, adding the vegetable oil.
Step 5
Place the finished dough into warm molds greased with butter. Fill the molds halfway. Leave for 40 minutes for the dough to rise. Before placing in the oven, brush the tops with beaten egg.
Step 6
Bake for 30-40 minutes. Carefully remove, brush the cooled kulich with meringue, and decorate with sprinkles.
