Description
Edamame beans in spicy sauce
Ingredients
- Edamame Beans - 17.6 oz
- Flaky sea salt - a pinch
- Chili Flakes - a pinch
- Soy Sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Black sesame seeds - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan, add the washed beans to the boiling water. If they are frozen in bags, you can cook them without thawing. Boil for 4 minutes in boiling water, then drain and set aside.
Step 2
The first option is the simplest (my favorite). Place the cooked beans in a bowl (preferably deep) and sprinkle with coarse sea salt. The beans are ready.
Step 3
The second option is more exotic. Heat sesame oil in a skillet and add garlic, slightly frying it before adding chili flakes, soy sauce, and sugar (to taste, can be omitted). Stir well until the sauce thickens over the heat. Turn off the heat. Add the cooked edamame to the sauce and mix. Serve on a plate.
