  • Green Apples - 2 lbs
  • Semolina - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 4.6 oz
  • Vanilla salt - 0.5 oz
  • Kefir - 1 cup
  • Wheat Flour - 1 cup
  • Salt - ½ teaspoon
  • Vegetable Oil - ½ cup
  • Meyer Lemon Juice - ½ tablespoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Wash the apples, remove the cores, and cut them into small pieces.

Step 2

To prepare the batter, mix kefir, oil, flour, and semolina. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt, and whisk well. Neutralize the baking soda with lemon juice, add it to the batter, and mix again.

Step 3

Add the apples to the batter and mix well. Preheat the oven to 356°F.

Step 4

Grease a baking dish with oil, pour in the batter with apples, and place it in the oven to bake.

Step 5

Baking will take about 50-60 minutes. Halfway through baking, take out the partially baked pie, decorate it with apple slices, and return it to the oven.

Step 6

Bake until done. You can check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the pie. If the toothpick comes out clean, without batter, the pie is ready.
