Description
Instead of sour cream, you can use heavy cream. Plus or minus Greek yogurt (1 tablespoon). Rum can be replaced with brandy.
Ingredients
- Liquid dark chocolate - 7.1 oz
- 20% Sour Cream - 5.3 oz
- Butter - 0.9 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 1.8 oz
- Desiccated coconut - to taste
- Rum - 2 tablespoons
- Nuts - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop the chocolate in a bowl. Use high-quality chocolate with a high cocoa content.
Step 2
Over low heat, bring the mixture of sour cream, butter, and rum to a boil. As soon as the mixture shows signs of boiling, pour it into the bowl with the chopped chocolate.
Step 3
Stir/whip everything together and hide it in the refrigerator for a long time.
Step 4
After a few hours, when the mixture becomes firm enough, you can take it out and roll it into small balls.
Step 5
The balls can be rolled in crushed nuts, shredded coconut, cocoa powder, or finely chopped ginger, coated in glaze, etc. You can also, like in a Raffaello, place a nut in the center. This yields a couple of dozen candies. After preparation, they should be stored in the refrigerator.
