Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 15.9 oz
- Butter - 3 oz
- Raisins - 3.5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Powdered Sugar - 1.4 oz
- Ocean salt - a pinch
- Baking Powder - 0.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sift the flour through a sieve, add the baking powder, a pinch of salt, and softened butter. Rub together by hand or mix in a food processor with a dough attachment.
Step 2
Whisk the eggs until they double in volume. While continuing to whisk, gradually add 200 ml of milk.
Step 3
Combine the egg mixture with the dough, add the raisins, and knead everything well.
Step 4
Dust the resulting soft dough with flour on both sides, gently press with your palm to form a layer about 2–3 cm high.
Step 5
Use a small round cup to cut out buns from the dough.
Step 6
Mix the egg yolk with the remaining milk and brush the tops of the buns.
Step 7
Dust a baking sheet with flour, place the buns on it, and bake in a preheated oven for 25–30 minutes.
Step 8
Sprinkle the finished buns with powdered sugar.
