Description
Fig and Mascarpone Dessert
Ingredients
- Green Figs - 8 pieces
- Butter - 0.7 oz
- Vanilla salt - 0.3 oz
- Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande - 8.8 oz
- Brown Sugar - 1.1 oz
- Semi-soft cream cheese - 7.1 oz
- Sablé Cookies - 4 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash and dry the fresh figs, remove the stems, and cut them into quarters. If using frozen fruit, thaw them in the refrigerator and then place them on a paper towel to dry. You can also use canned whole figs, which should also be dried and then cut.
Step 2
Melt the butter in a pan, add 1 packet of vanilla sugar. When the mixture is well heated, add the fig quarters and cook on low heat for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they soften to a puree-like consistency.
Step 3
In a bowl, combine the mascarpone with the cottage cheese (the cottage cheese should be creamy) and the brown sugar.
Step 4
Evenly distribute the softened figs into glasses. Pour the prepared cheese and cottage cheese mixture over them and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Step 5
Before serving, sprinkle each glass with coarsely broken cookies.
