Description
You can use frozen rectangular blocks of hake (or another white fish). This recipe is based on three such blocks.
Ingredients
- Fillet of small-eyed hake - 10.6 oz
- Semolina - 1 tablespoon
- Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 1 tablespoon
- Dill - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - a pinch
- Onion - 1 head
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Thaw the fish and chop it in a blender.
Step 2
Add salt, pepper, and semolina, and let it sit to absorb each other (instead of semolina, you can optionally add soaked flesh from a couple of slices of crustless white bread).
Step 3
Finely chop the onion and sauté it, then add it to the fish mixture.
Step 4
Chop the herbs and mix them into the mixture (you can optionally add dried marjoram, a bit of rosemary, or oregano).
Step 5
Thoroughly mix the egg with the flour and pour the resulting batter over the fish filling.
Step 6
Mix everything well and use a tablespoon to place the fish fritters in a preheated pan with oil, flattening them with a spoon. Fry on both sides until golden brown.
Step 7
You will get about 7-8 fritters. To make more, simply double the proportions.
