Fisherman's Pike Pie
Ingredients
- Skate Fillet - 7.1 oz
- Scallions - 3.5 oz
- Herbs - 3.5 oz
- Salad Potatoes - 3 pieces
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Olive Oil - 1 fl oz
- Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
- Butter - 0.7 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the pike fillet, pat it dry, and cut it into small pieces.
Step 2
Wash and chop the green onions, dill, and parsley.
Step 3
Wash, peel, and slice the potatoes into rounds.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 5
Thaw the puff pastry and roll it out to a thickness of 5 mm. Cut a rectangle measuring 30 by 40 cm from the dough. Place the fish in the center, season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with herbs and drizzle with olive oil.
Step 6
Add the potatoes.
Step 7
Fold the edges of the dough together and pinch to seal, leaving small holes for steam to escape. Brush with egg yolk.
Step 8
Place the pie on a baking sheet greased with butter. Bake in the oven for 40–50 minutes.
