Description
Instead of butter, I used 'Generous Summer' margarine, and it turned out very tasty. Since I don't have a mixer, I whisked everything by hand.
Ingredients
- Vegetable Oil - ⅓ cup
- Powdered Sugar - ½ cup
- Corn Starch - 4 tablespoons
- Wheat Flour - 3½ cups
- Vanilla salt - 0.4 oz
- Butter - 8.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a bowl, combine room temperature butter, powdered sugar, and vegetable oil.
Step 2
Whisk everything well by hand.
Step 3
Add cornstarch and mix with a whisk.
Step 4
Add one cup of flour and mix with a whisk.
Step 5
Then add another cup of flour, but mix with a spoon, as the whisk won't handle it.
Step 6
Pour 1 cup of flour onto the table and place the dough on it.
Step 7
Knead by hand until smooth.
Step 8
Add the last half cup of flour and knead.
Step 9
Divide the dough into 3 parts. Roll each part into a log.
Step 10
Cut into pieces with a knife.
Step 11
Place the pieces of dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 12
Bake at 302°F until golden brown (from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the oven).
Step 13
The cookies can be eaten as is, for those who don't like powdered sugar.
