  • Apple - 2 lbs
  • Wheat Flour - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
  • Chocolate eggs - 5 pieces
  • Ground Cinnamon - 2 teaspoons
  • Semolina - to taste
  • Butter - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Peel the apples and remove the seeds, then slice them into thin small pieces.

Separate the yolks from the whites.

Whip the egg whites, and once frothy, add half a cup of sugar. Whip until a uniform consistency is achieved, and your arms start to feel tired. Do the same with the yolks. The thicker the foam, the fluffier the charlotte will be.

Combine the yolks with the whites, whip until a uniform consistency is achieved, and add the baking soda. Gradually add the flour while stirring immediately until a smooth, lump-free batter forms.

Step 5

Add the sliced apples to the batter and mix well.

Preheat the oven to 356°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit), grease the baking dish with butter, and sprinkle with semolina.

Step 7

Pour the batter with apples into the dish, spread it evenly, and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Step 8

Bake at 356°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 40–45 minutes until a golden crust forms.
