  • Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Wheat Flour - ½ cup
  • Activated Baking Soda - a pinch
  • Sugar - ½ cup
  • Vanillin - 1 teaspoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Mash the cottage cheese, add salt, sugar, and eggs, and mix well. In the flour, add a pinch of baking soda, baking powder, sprinkle in the vanillin, and mix everything together. Combine the flour with the cottage cheese. Knead the dough. It should be soft but not liquid — it will stick to your hands.

Step 2

Before you start making the pancakes, dust your hands with flour, or sprinkle a small amount of flour on the dough; this will make it easier to work with. The process is not very convenient, but necessary. If you add too much flour to the dough, the pancakes will turn out dense and tasteless.

Step 3

Shape the dough into small patties (not completely flat) and fry them in a pan over medium heat.

Step 4

When the pancakes are browned on one side, flip them over. During frying, they will rise. However, the finished pancakes will slightly deflate, but they will be very tasty, tender, and have the flavor of cottage cheese rather than flour.
