- Wheat Flour - 2 lbs
- Dry yeast - 0.4 oz
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Butter - 7.1 oz
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Warm the milk and dissolve the yeast.
Step 2
Add 500 g of flour and mix well.
Step 3
Place in a warm spot and cover with a towel (for about 30 minutes).
Step 4
Add sugar and salt, and mix well.
Step 5
Soften the butter and mix well.
Step 6
Add the eggs and mix well.
Step 7
Add the flour and knead the dough.
Step 8
The dough should not be stiff or sticky to the hands. Place it back in a warm spot for an hour. For the topping, mix together 100 g of sugar, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, or poppy seeds, raisins, candied fruits, dried apricots, etc. Divide the dough into 3 parts.
Step 9
Roll each one out to a thickness of 3–4 mm, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll up into a log and pinch the edges to seal.
Step 10
Cut into pieces about 1–1.5 inches.
Step 11
Make a cut without going all the way through, then open it up.
Step 12
Lightly grease a baking sheet with oil, place the rolls on it, and let them rest for 20 minutes.
Step 13
Place in a preheated oven at 356°F.
Step 14
Bake for 25–30 minutes.
