Ingredients
- Coarsely Ground Rye Flour - 11 teaspoons
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Ground Cinnamon - 1 tablespoon
- Baking Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 2 spoons
- Grated Ginger Root - 2 spoons
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Raw cane sugar - 5 teaspoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients except for the sugar.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, egg, and sugar. Add the honey to the mixture. Combine this mixture with the dry ingredients and knead the dough. Refrigerate the dough for one hour.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Roll out the dough and cut out cookies using cookie cutters. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven for 5–7 minutes.
Step 4
As soon as you smell the pleasant aroma of cinnamon and ginger, it means the cookies will be ready soon.
