Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 14.1 oz
- Water - 7 fl oz
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Cottage cheese - 7.1 oz
- Dry yeast - 0.7 oz
- Cheese Spread - 3.5 oz
- Feta cheese - 3.5 oz
- Parmesan Cheese - 1.8 oz
- Herbs - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Toasted Cumin Seeds - a pinch
- Ground Caraway - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the dough in advance so that it has time to rise. Mix the flour, salt, egg, and yeast, gradually adding water to the mixture while constantly kneading until you achieve an elastic dough consistency (to make it easier to knead, wet your hands). Add a couple of tablespoons of oil and mix it into the dough as well. Set aside in a warm, dry place for 2-3 hours.
Step 2
For the filling, mix the cottage cheese with feta and grated cheeses, adding herbs to taste.
Step 3
Roll out the prepared dough thinly (0.5-0.8 cm) and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (previously greased with oil). On one half of the dough, spread the filling evenly, cover with the second half of the dough, and press the edges to seal.
Step 4
Pierce the pie with a fork all over to allow excess steam to escape while baking. Beat one egg and brush it over the top of the pie. Sprinkle sesame seeds or paprika seeds on the egg and add a couple of cumin and caraway seeds. Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 30 minutes.
