Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Butter - 10.6 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Water - 1 fl oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
- Powdered Sugar - 6.2 oz
- Apple - 1½ kg
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sift the flour and combine it with 225 grams of butter.
Step 2
Combine water with lemon juice. Pour it into the flour and knead the dough.
Step 3
Roll out the dough on a floured surface, fold it into an envelope shape, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 4
To prepare the filling, pour water into a saucepan and add 100 grams of sugar. Heat over low heat until a light brown caramel forms. Pour the caramel into the bottom of a baking dish, add the butter, and sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Tightly arrange the apple slices in a baking dish over the caramel and butter. Place the dough on top. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes.
