French Blueberry Tart (Tarte aux myrtilles)
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 6.3 oz
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Sour Cream - 3.5 oz
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Cream - 7 fl oz
- Vanilla salt - a pinch
- Fresh Berries - 8.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
For the dough, mix the flour, salt, and cold butter (in pieces). Stir until a uniform mass is formed. Add the sour cream (you can use plain yogurt or liquid cottage cheese). Leave the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5 mm, making sure to create high edges for the tart. Prick the dough with a fork many times.
Step 3
Cover the dough with parchment paper and bake the crust without filling for 20 minutes in the lower part of the oven at 392°F. Remove the parchment paper from the top of the tart and bake for another 25 minutes. Cool the crust.
Step 4
Whip the cream with sugar and vanilla. Spread the whipped cream into the crust.
Step 5
Top with blueberries. For decoration, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar.
