French Dessert Cheese with Blackberry Sauce
Ingredients
- Sour Cream - 8.1 oz
- Ricotta cheese - 12 oz
- Vanilla salt - ½ teaspoon
- Powdered Sugar - 3 tablespoons
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 teaspoon
- Serviceberries - 10.9 oz
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Port Sauce - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Using a mixer, beat the ricotta, sour cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, and half of the lemon juice until well combined. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any lumps.
Step 2
Line 6 small molds with cheesecloth and distribute the cheese mixture into them, pressing down slightly, and refrigerate for 4 hours.
Step 3
Mash half of the berries with sugar, then add the whole berries and the remaining lemon juice. Mix well and let sit for 20 minutes.
Step 4
Invert the cheese hearts onto serving plates and carefully remove the cheesecloth. Let sit at room temperature for 20 minutes, drizzle with berry sauce, and serve.
