French Shortbread Pastry with Jam
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 2 cups
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Jam - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grate the frozen butter on a coarse grater.
Step 2
Add 2 cups of flour and 0.5 cups of sugar, and rub until crumbly.
Step 3
For the filling, use any jam (I used apricot, previously blended until smooth and added a little water to make it easier to spread on the dough). Layer in a baking dish: crumbs, jam, crumbs.
Step 4
Place in a preheated oven at 356°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Bake for 30 minutes.
