Fried Cheese Balls

Ingredients

  • Butter - 4.2 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 5.6 oz
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece
  • Salt - to taste
  • Parmesan Cheese - 3.5 oz
  • Cheese Spread - 3.5 oz
  • Vegetable Oil - 13 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Place butter, salt, and pepper in a saucepan. Pour in 250 ml of water. Heat on the stove and keep it until the butter melts. Remove from heat and stir in the flour. Return to the heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the dough is homogeneous and starts to pull away from the sides of the saucepan. Remove from the stove.

Step 2

Transfer the dough to a bowl, add cheese, and mix well.

Step 3

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.

Step 4

Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. From the chilled dough, take 1 teaspoon at a time and form balls. Place them on a parchment-lined surface.

Step 5

In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the cheese balls in 4–5 batches until cooked and golden brown, about 3–5 minutes per batch. Serve immediately.
