Description
Frittata with fig and prosciutto
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 8 pieces
- Thyme - 1 sprig
- Feta cheese - 5.3 oz
- Fig - 4 pieces
- Prosciutto - 2.8 oz
- Spanish onions - 1 head
- "Oleina Sunflower Oil" - 2 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Brown Sugar - to taste
- Dry White Wine - 1 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs lightly with a fork, just enough to break the yolks. Add salt, pepper, and thyme.
Step 2
Grease a baking dish with oil, pour in the eggs, and add pieces of feta and figs. Place it in an oven preheated to 356°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 15–20 minutes.
Step 3
Slice the onion into thin strips and sauté it in sunflower oil with a pinch of salt for a couple of minutes. Then add the wine and let it evaporate. Add a little brown sugar and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the onion becomes soft and takes on a caramel color.
Step 4
Cut the finished frittata into portions, place them on plates, and garnish with torn prosciutto and caramelized onions.
