Description
Ginger-Chocolate Biscuit Snowmen
Ingredients
- Butter - 2.6 oz
- Sugar - 2.1 oz
- Milk - 1 fl oz
- Cocoa Powder - 2 tablespoons
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Wheat Flour - 3.5 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
- Dr. Oetker Decorating Pens - to taste
- Grated Ginger Root - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Combine the butter, sugar, milk, and cocoa in a saucepan, place it over medium heat, and stir until the mixture comes to a boil. Then let it cool.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, lightly beat the egg with a fork or whisk. Add it to the mixture and beat with a mixer.
Step 3
Mix the flour with the baking soda and ginger, then add it to the mixture. Whisk well until a soft and homogeneous dough forms.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 356°F (mark 5). Spoon the dough into silicone molds shaped like trees, snowmen, or little people in an even and not too thick layer, as the dough will rise (the amount of resulting biscuit will depend on the size of the molds). Bake for 15 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
Step 5
Once baked, let the biscuit cool completely (for example, on a rack), and then decorate using colorful pens (chocolate ones work well). You can also decorate with icing made from powdered sugar by adding a few teaspoons of water or any juice.
