- Liquid dark chocolate - 1.8 oz
- Grated Ginger Root - 1 teaspoon
- Baking Powder - 3.9 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 0.4 oz
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Brown Sugar - 1.4 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Light Molasses - 50 tablespoons

Step 1
Sift the flour, cocoa powder, ground ginger, and baking soda into a bowl, then rub in the butter until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Add the sugar, chocolate pieces, and molasses, and mix well.
Step 2
Divide the mixture into 16 parts and form into balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving plenty of space between each.
Step 3
Bake at 356°F for 15–20 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet without removing them.
