Description
You can use regular white sugar instead of cane sugar, and replace fresh ginger with dried ginger.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 9.2 oz
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Cane Sugar - 4.6 oz
- Egg - 1 piece
- Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
- Fresh Ginger - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grate the ginger root.
Step 2
Mix the flour with the sugar, baking soda, and ginger.
Step 3
Add the mixture to the softened butter and knead by hand until crumbly.
Step 4
Add the egg to the mixture and beat it. If necessary, add a little flour to make the dough less sticky.

Step 6
Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 5 mm. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters or a knife.
Step 7
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, transfer the cookies onto it, and bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes at 180 °C.
