Description
In the end, I have one fully filled baking sheet of cookies.
Ingredients
- Honey - 3.5 oz
- Sugar - 1.8 oz
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Vanillin - a pinch
- Grated Ginger Root - 1 teaspoon
- Cardamom - 1 teaspoon
- Nutmeg - 1 teaspoon
- Ground Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour - 10.6 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Powdered Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Red Food Coloring - to taste
- Pastry decorations - 0.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
In a saucepan over low heat, melt the honey, butter, sugar, spices, and add the baking soda; remove from heat.
Step 3
Sift the flour.
Step 4
Add about 100 grams of flour, knead the dough; add another 100 grams and knead the dough; add the egg while kneading the dough.
Step 5
Gradually add the last portion of flour until the dough no longer sticks to your hands and the saucepan (you may need a little more or a little less flour).
Step 6
Dust the table with flour and roll out the dough to a thickness of about 0.5 cm; cut out shapes.
Step 7
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease it with butter, arrange the dough and bake at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
Step 8
Cool the cookies and decorate as you wish. This is a creative process, depending on what you have. I mix 100 grams of powdered sugar with one egg white to make icing; you can dilute different food colorings and then sprinkle everything with various decorations.
