Gingerbread Cookies with Chocolate
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 3 cups
- Baking Powder - 2 tablespoons
- Brown Sugar - ½ cup
- Bitter - 4.9 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 1¼ cups
- Cinnamon - ¼ teaspoon
- Grated Ginger Root - 1½ tablespoons
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper - a pinch
- Vanillin - a pinch
- Milk - 1¼ cups
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Take a deep bowl, add flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and all the spices. Mix everything vigorously with a fork.
Step 2
Now chop the chocolate into small (or not so small) pieces.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 392°F. In the bowl with the dry ingredient mixture, add water (or milk) and oil. Quickly mix everything together. The dough should be of medium thickness.
Step 4
Fold the chocolate pieces into the dough. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it with oil. Use a spoon to drop the dough onto the baking sheet, shaping it into more or less round forms.
Step 5
It's better to place the cookies further apart from each other — they will expand in size! Lightly sprinkle each cookie with brown sugar on top.
Step 6
Send the baking sheet to the oven for 15 minutes.
