Giraffe Cake with Marshmallows
Ingredients
- Milk - 4 cups
- Cream - 4 cups
- Shortbread Cookies - 10.6 oz
- Butter - 2.5 oz
- Marshmallow - 3.5 oz
- Liquid dark chocolate - 10.6 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Vanilla extract - 0 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Crush the cookies in a blender, add melted butter, and mix until homogeneous.
Step 2
Grease a 21 cm springform pan with butter, lay out the dough with a rim. Press down. Place in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) for 10 minutes, depending on your oven. The crust should be well browned.
Step 3
Chop the milk or dark chocolate.
Step 4
In a saucepan, pour in the cream and milk. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly. Do not bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate.
Step 5
Stir until the chocolate is dissolved. Add vanilla extract.
Step 6
Beat the eggs and gradually add them to the chocolate mixture, mixing quickly and whipping slightly with a mixer until smooth.
Step 7
Pour the chocolate filling over the crust and return to the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the filling stops wobbling.
Step 8
On the finished and still warm cake, place the chewy marshmallows cut in half using scissors.
Step 9
Arrange the marshmallows around the perimeter of the cake.
Step 10
Bake under the top grill at 180°C (356°F) for 1-2 minutes. Watch to ensure the marshmallows brown slightly, but not more. The cake can be enjoyed warm.
