Ingredients
- Walnuts - 17.6 oz
- Honey - 7.1 oz
- Sugar - 1 cup
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the peeled walnuts in a hot skillet and roast them, stirring and watching to ensure they do not burn. Then, slice the walnuts thinly lengthwise with a sharp knife (do not grate).
Step 2
Pour the honey into the skillet and, stirring continuously, bring it to a boil until it thickens (a drop placed on a saucer should not spread). Add the sugar. Pour the sliced walnuts into the boiling honey. To keep them crunchy, stir continuously to prevent the mixture from frying.
Step 3
Take a clean wooden board, dampen it with water, smooth it out with a wet spoon, then roll it out with a damp rolling pin, shaping it into a flat slab (about 1.5 cm or 1 cm thick).
Step 4
Let it cool slightly and cut into small diamond shapes with a sharp heated knife.
