Description
Recipe by Victoria Smith — chef and culinary writer.
Ingredients
- Oat flakes - 1 glass
- Prunes - 5 pieces
- Dried Apricots - 5 pieces
- Bananas - 1 piece
- Honey - 2 spoons
- Baby Cream Puree - 6.3 oz
- Nuts - 2 spoons
- Dates - 6 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Chop the dried fruits finely, crush the nuts, and mash the banana with a fork. Combine everything with the oats, honey, and fruit puree. Let it sit for 15 minutes. (You can use lighter oat flakes or granola, but in that case, reduce the amount of puree by about one and a half times.)
Step 2
The finished mixture should have a consistency similar to thick oatmeal. If the mixture feels dry, you can dilute it slightly with boiling water—about 1 to 2 tablespoons. Conversely, if the mixture seems too wet, add a little more oats.
Step 3
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and brush it with a thin layer of oil. Spread the oatmeal mixture evenly on the parchment in a 1 cm thick layer. Bake at 320°F for 20-25 minutes.
Step 4
Cut the slab into equal portions. Place two halves of a date on top of each portion and wrap each one in separate foil. Enjoy with coffee or tea.
