  • Red rice - 2 cups
  • Oats - ¼ cup
  • Barley - ¼ cup
  • Semolina - 1 cup
  • Orange zest - 1 piece
  • Cinnamon stick - 1 piece
  • Brown Sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Dried Fruits - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Nuts - to taste
  • Maple syrup - 4 tablespoons
  • Milk - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

12 hours before serving this dish, mix the rice, oats, and barley. Add the orange zest (you can chop it), the cinnamon stick, sugar, and salt to taste – pour everything with 5 cups of water. This is how the porridge should steep to achieve an amazing flavor.

Step 2

Once 12 hours have passed, you can start cooking. Take a pot for cooking, add the contents, cover with a lid, and set a timer for about 50 minutes. While the porridge is cooking, do not stir it; let it cook on its own. Serve this breakfast with nuts, drizzling with syrup or milk.
