Granola Bars
Ingredients
- Ground Oats - 2 cups
- Light Raisins, Seedless - 6.7 oz
- Chopped almonds - 4.2 oz
- Pumpkin seed oil - ½ cup
- Sunflower Seeds - ¼ cup
- Flaxseeds - ½ cup
- Honey - 5 tablespoons
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Bananas - 3 pieces
- Ground Cinnamon - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl (oats, raisins, almonds, flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and cinnamon).
Step 3
In a blender, puree the bananas (preferably using overripe soft bananas) with olive oil and honey until smooth.
Step 4
Combine the puree with the dry granola mixture until well blended.
Step 5
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, spread the mixture, and flatten it with a spoon. Do not make the bars too thin to prevent them from drying out while baking.
Step 6
Place the bars in the oven for about 25 minutes, then remove and cut them into desired shapes with a knife for easier breaking later.
Step 7
Return the bars to the oven for another 20–25 minutes until fully cooked.
Step 8
After baking, cool on a wire rack and break into individual bars.
